Der Name Gojira setzt sich aus zwei japanischen Wörtern zusammen: gorira für Gorilla und kujira für Wal. 1954 lief der erste Film an, ein Schwarzweißstreifen über ein Ungeheuer, das aus der Bucht von Tokio steigt. Inzwischen sind über dreißig Filme dazugekommen, und den Schriftzug in roten Katakana erkennt man auch ohne ein Wort Japanisch.

Die Godzilla Fußmatte „King of the Monsters“ bringt genau dieses Motiv vor deine Tür: Godzilla im Profil vor grau-rotem Grund, den Atomstrahl aus dem Maul, darüber der Schriftzug ゴジラ. Die Matte misst 60 x 40 cm und besteht aus Kokosfaser mit einem rutschfesten PVC-Rücken, damit sie liegen bleibt, wenn jemand in Eile darüber wischt. Kokos nimmt Nässe und Dreck gut auf und verträgt beides, drinnen im Flur wie draußen vor der Haustür. Gereinigt wird sie durch Ausschütteln oder Absaugen, in die Waschmaschine gehört sie nicht. Offiziell lizenzierte Ware von Pyramid International.
