Description BlueNio Bluetooth cell phone alarm
You're probably familiar with this situation: You've been on LAN, hardly slept, but can't relax on the train because you don't want to let your hardware out of your sight.
That doesn't have to be the case! With the BlueNio security tag, you can go to sleep with peace of mind because it warns you if your luggage is moving away from you. But you won't just want to be without the BlueNio when you're traveling, but also in everyday life.
The special thing about BlueNio: unlike other tagging systems, no extra receiver is required. You can simply use your smartphone or PDA. All you have to do is download the manufacturer's software onto your cell phone and attach the BlueNio to the object you don't want to lose. Your cell phone now keeps in contact with the BlueNio via Bluetooth and checks whether it is still in the vicinity. If the BlueNio leaves a previously set visibility radius, both your cell phone and the BlueNio will sound an alarm. A small LED also flashes during the day. This way, you know exactly where the tagged object is and your cell phone is also protected against loss, as the BlueNio then sounds an alarm.
The BlueNio can be set very flexibly using the software on your cell phone: For example, you can determine the security radius of up to 20 m yourself. You can also select different alarm sounds and assign different sounds to several tags. The sound can also be switched off completely and changed to a vibration alarm. There is also a search tone so that you can locate the BlueNio at any time within the security zone if necessary.
The calendar function is particularly practical. You can use it to automatically activate the BlueNio only for certain times, for example for your daily commute to work. This prevents the alarm from constantly going off at home as soon as you accidentally leave the safety zone. Of course, this function also saves battery life.
Speaking of the battery: the BlueNio's battery lasts for several weeks. It has a mini USB port for charging. A suitable 70 cm long cable with USB output and a socket adapter with USB input are included.
The BlueNio measures 6.3x2.8x1.5 cm.
The software runs with numerous cell phones from these manufacturers:
- BlackBerry
- Hewlett Packard
- HTC
- Nokia
- Orange
- Samsung
- Sony Ericsson
You can download the Nio software from the Apple Store or Google Play.
An alternative tagging system is our Loc8tor.
