Description Doctor Who sonic screwdriver remote control from the 11th Doctor
What the paper clip is to McGyver, the sonic screwdriver is to Doctor Who. The Doctor can use this miracle device to trigger medical scans or lock and open doors, for example.
The sonic screwdriver available here was provided to us by the 11th Doctor (Matt Smith) and can be used as a remote control for televisions, Blu-Ray players and other infrared-controlled devices. Just like in the series, it lights up and flashes and even plays matching sounds!
Comprehensive (English) instructions help you to program your sonic screwdriver. 13 different gestures, each accompanied by 13 sound effects from the series, distributed over three different memory locations, allow you to program up to 39 codes in total.
Your new remote control also offers exciting surprises in the various modes:
Practice Mode
In an extra practice mode, gestures such as tapping, turning etc. can be learned easily, as each of your movements is automatically commented with its name. That's right, the sonic screwdriver talks to you ;).
Control Mode and Quiet Control Mode
These are the operating modes in which infrared signals are transmitted to the corresponding devices to control them. You can also choose between the three memory locations.
In Quiet Control Mode, there is still a quiet clicking sound in addition to the gestures, but otherwise the sonic screwdriver only flashes.
FX Mode
In this mode, no infrared signals are sent, but the sonic screwdriver continues to light up and play standard sounds. If it is not moved, it emits a Morse code after every 1963 flashes to let you know what it is thinking! (No joke!) The Morse code sound can be turned off and on again.
With such a phenomenal sonic screwdriver, the likelihood of someone else wanting to take possession of it is naturally high. The doctor has therefore equipped it with the option of storing a lock code.
